St. Maarten- Three Trips for the Price of One
There have been a few places I have traveled to that changed everything for me. Something happened in these experiences that left an irreplaceable mark because they either inspired me to dream bigger, taught me something about myself and the world around me I hadn’t seen before, or just awoke something in me that inspired me to live- really live.
Let’s face it, the world has become a place that can feel so dark and disparaging at times. It’s like there is an innocence that was lost along the way somewhere. In times like this travel is important because it allows you to recharge your spirit. The small island of St. Maarten in the Caribbean is one of those transformative places. It should be your next destination.
Here’s why and how you get three trips for the price of one if you travel here. The island is nestled between St. Barth and Anguilla. It’s easy and inexpensive to take day trips to both islands. Brush up on your French before taking a boat to St. Barth and stop at the famous Nikki Beach for lunch. The beach in front of the restaurant is gorgeous as well. Take a day or two and recharge back in St. Maarten and take a day trip to Loterie Farm for lunch then hike to gorgeous Pic Pardis (St. Maarten's highest point). Anguilla is about a 40 minute boat ride away on the other side of St. Martin's French side where you'll find Shoal Bay beach. It is considered one of the most beautiful beaches in the world and when you see the crystal clear blue water, it will be easy to understand why.
