Je Ne Sais Quoi

A wise woman once told me that a good fragrance and a good bra will take you far in life. That was my great grandmother to be exact. People have long talked about the allure of the French woman who possesses a certain "je ne sais quoi". I think most would agree that the French have a distinct understanding of ‘amour’ and sensuality. This might be tied to the fact that the French make some of the best perfumes and beautiful lace for lingerie- two things that I neglected throughout all of my twenties.
As I’ve grown as a woman and settled comfortably into my thirties I’ve realized that the allure of what is unseen is just as important as what is seen. I personally prefer fragrances that are not too flowery and consist of a more complex blend of masculine and feminine tones. Sandalwood and more earthy notes seem to be classics that can stand the test of time.
